EXHIBITIONS & MUSEUMS |
|
The
Coastal Communities Museum in School
Road, on the top floor above the Library, is open from April
to November (see MUSEUMS & GALLERIES Section for opening
hours). Organised and staffed entirely by volunteers, there is
a new exhibition every year. The current exhibition is Treasured
Memories with a Robert Louis Stevenson section.
Its a great way to spend a few hours exploring the past
and bringing alive its impact on the present. |
The
Scottish Seabird Centre, with its café
and gift shop, incorporates the Discovery Centre with a Kids
Zone soft play area, flyway tunnel, turtle and ray zone, fish
tanks and much more. Control the cameras positioned on islands
around the Firth of Forth. Zoom in on amazing wildlife at locations
including the Bass Rock, the worlds largest northern gannet
colony, and the Isle of May National Nature Reserve, the biggest
puffin colony on the east coast of the UK. |
Fidra Fine Art is a Scottish Gallery
currently displaying works from a range of leading traditional,
impressionist, modern and contemporary Scottish artists. Typical
opening hours are 12noon 5pm, Saturday and Sunday with
additional times during the week by appointment. Fidra Fine Art,
Cherry Trees, 45 Dirleton Avenue, EH39 4BL. Tel: 01620 895057. |
