Golf was first played in North Berwick in the 17th century on the historic East Links. The Glen enjoys a breathtaking cliff top location with many spectacular holes offering views of the Firth of Forth and its islands including Bass Rock.

Gullane golf courses are simply known by number, reflecting their age:
Gullane No 1 course (1884). Carved into the ancient links turf, pot bunkers, wispy grasses and smooth-running greens. A unique challenge for the serious golfer.
Gullane No 2 course (1898). Runs alongside No 1 for the first 7 holes then sweeps down to the nature reserve next to Aberlady Bay before turning back towards home and the visitors’ clubhouse.
Gullane No 3 course (1910). Enjoys some of the best views across Aberlady Bay to Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth.
