North Berwick boasts two 18-hole courses, the West Links course and the East Links course. Members from two clubs, North Berwick Golf Club and Tantallon Golf Club, share equal playing rights over the West Links course. Glen Golf Club members play on the East Links course.
North Berwick Golf Club, New Club House, Beach Road, EH39 4BB. Tel: 01620 895040. Golf has been played over the historic West Links course since the 17th century. The club, formed in 1832, is a championship links course which has hosted final qualifying for The Open and both Gentlemen and Ladies Amateur Championships.
The Renaissance Club, Cowden Hill Drive, Dirleton, EH39 5HS. Tel: 01620 850901. One of the world’s most exclusive golf clubs this new course is recognised as a modern masterpiece of golf course design. Exclusive members’ club which offers a ‘One Time Experience’ for non-members.
The Royal Musselburgh Golf Club, Prestongrange House, Prestonpans, EH32 9RP. Tel: 01875 810276. The club is the 5th oldest in the world. Picturesque parkland course designed by James Braid.
Tantallon Golf Club, 32 Westgate, North Berwick, EH39 4AH. Tel 01620 892114. Founded in 1853, members play on the famous North Berwick West Links course.
Winterfield Golf Club, St Margaret’s, North Road, Dunbar, EH42 1AU. Tel (Professional’s Shop): 01620 863562. Links course with great views across the sea to the Bass Rock and the Isle of May. Described as “a lovely wee course”.
