The Auld Hoose, 19 Forth Street, EH39 4HX. Tel: 01620 892692. Craig runs this Belhaven tenancy, popular with locals. Pool table. In winter there’s a roaring fire in the bar. For a while there was usually no real ale but now they're redeeming themselves with two handpulls. No food since Amanda’s Mad March Hare pop-up restaurant closed.
The County Hotel, 15-17 High Street, EH39 4HH. Tel: 01620 892989. Under Tony's new management since Ian and Irene Steel recently retired. Locals’ pub with pool table, darts and function room. Food all day in restaurant. South-facing beer garden at the rear.
The Fly Half, 20 Dirleton Avenue, EH39 4BQ. Tel: 01620 892802. Lounge bar of ‘the Nethers’. One of three licensed premises owned by Stirling & Jela Stewart. Good selection of beers (several great real ales) and wines. Outside seating. Good food served all day. Beer Festival every November.
The Golfers Rest, 109 High Street, EH39 4HD. Tel: 01620 892320. Carol & Brian Millar always have two real ales on tap. Pool table. Thursday Quiz night. Food at lunchtimes only. Roaring bar fire in the winter.
Herringbone, 1-3 Westgate, EH39 4AE. Tel: 01620 890501. Recent transformation of the former
Quarterdeck pub. And what a transformation! Craft beers, fine wines, cocktails and good food served all day. No real ale.
The Ship Inn, 7-9 Quality Street, EH39 4HJ. Tel: 01620 890699. Popular pub with locals and visitors. Three or four real ales and a large selection of cold gassy beers. Good food served all day until 8pm. Outside seating at front and in rear courtyard.
